What is Chair Yoga?

CHAIR YOGA is a gentle, accessible form of yoga that can be practiced seated on a chair. All the traditional mat poses are adapted to the chair, with options for every BODY. There is no need to get down on the floor, making it perfect for ALL ages, abilities and levels of experience.

It is a great way to improve mobility, balance, strength and mindfulness in a supportive and comfortable way.

The whole class can be practiced in your chair or there are options to stand for a couple of balance poses with the help of the back of your chair.

You will be guided by Mikola to find the best version of every pose. A version that suits YOU and your BODY on any particular day.

Classes in 2025

We welcome new participants to join us at any time through out the year! While we do operate on a school term basis, there is no requirement to come every week... just come by when you can to get the benefit of chair yoga.

"I felt sore at the beginning in mountain pose, so I took my time trying different strength poses that were explained so well and made appropriate by Mikola. By the end I felt good :-)" - Bette
