Dance Fit

Dance Fit brings together a joyful mix of  jazz, fitness and feel-good movement. It’s a fun, accessible way to build fitness, strength, coordination, mobility and balance. We celebrate the movement and joy that dance brings to our lives, and we connect to the grace and confidence of our bodies.

Our routines are thoughtfully designed for vibrant mature women who want exercise that feels good, makes sense, and lets you shine.

We repeat and build on routines over several weeks, so you can settle in, grow your skills and truly feel the progress.

Tuesdays 10–11am (Seated & standing)
MORPETH

A gentle class perfect for anyone navigating balance or mobility challenges.
We start by warming up and mobilising our bodies while comfortably seated on our chair. Later in class we shift to standing dance sequences — with your chair right at your fingertips should you need it. (Options to suit all abilities)

Expect beautiful, inspiring music, friendly faces and the occasional fun prop to keep things playful. This is movement that meets you exactly where you are.

Thursdays 10–11am (Fully standing)
LARGS

For those who love to dance on their feet, this energising class offers a full hour of standing movement. We begin by exploring each step slowly and safely, with an option for confident dancers to pick up the tempo when you're ready.

You’ll enjoy a wonderfully varied playlist and uplifting routines. Every class is designed to leave you feeling strong, capable and alive.

Adult Ballet

Thursdayss 11:15 - 12pm

LARGS

Drawing on the principles of classical ballet, you’ll build core strength, improve posture and enhance coordination — all in a supportive, encouraging space.

We start with warm up and exercises at the barre before we move on to centre work. This is a multi-level class, with variations offered so you can work at the level that feels right for you. Those with a little more experience are welcome to explore the more challenging options, while everyone is guided safely and gracefully.

While all are welcome, this class is best suited to those who have had at least some experience with dance or movement.

No leotard required - Wear comfy clothing such as leggings and a T-shirt. Ballet shoes or soft-soled jazz shoes are required.

Stretch & Strength Extension class

Thursdays 11 – 11:15am (Seated)
LARGS

Add an extra 15 minutes on Thursdays after your Dance Fit class or before your Adult Ballet class for only $5.

When can I join?

We welcome you to join us at any time through out the year! While the classes do operate on a term basis, there is no requirement to come every week... just come by when you can, to feel the benefits of chair yoga. The more often you come, the quicker you will learn and the more you will reap the amazing benefits of a regular yoga practice. So don't wait! Join NOW!

What if I'm sick and can't make it to class?

Your knowledge of our regular dance moves and sequences will grow over time. We often work on a dance sequence and build upon it week to weak over a term or so. We always recap and practice the difficult parts in detail, so if you need to miss a class for any reason every now and then... don't stress! Mikola will guide you step by step through every class. And if you are sick or have an injury you need to listen to your body and respect it's needs and return to your dance classes when you are ready.
